Aurore’s St. Chartreuse Health Elixer Cocktail

Dr. Aurore enjoying her signature St. Chartreuse cocktail in northern Michigan : ) Cheers!

In the summer, I consume alcoholic beverages from time to time, I especially like to sip on them while visiting with friends after dinner or on the water. Most of my drinks are ayurvedically recommended but this is definitely a tri-dosha drink-but keep in mind, all alcohol is pitta and excessive amounts will exacerbate doshas and health and skincare conditions. With that said, I am about to share with you my own personal signature cocktail.

1 oz of organic brandy

1 oz chartreuse

1 oz St. Germain

3 dashes of orange bitters

Shake with ice, and serve

Chartreuse is an ancient liquor passed down by monks and it contains over 130 herbs, leaves, roots and flowers- this is consider a digestif and a health elixer. Read more about it here (Chartreuse for health).

St. Germain is made from hand-picked elderflowers from the Alps. Its sweet flavor is also medicinal. Elderflower is known to be a health and respiratory tonic!  Read more here.  (St. Germain)

Bitters for digestion!
